What is the Design Scheme?
The Design Scheme is one of three integrated components of the Ministry of MSME's Innovative Scheme, alongside Incubation and IPR. It aims to bring the Indian manufacturing sector and the design fraternity onto a common platform, offering expert advice and cost-effective solutions for real-world design problems, whether for new product development, continuous improvement, or value addition to existing products. The scheme is structured around two broad activities: Design Projects and Design Awareness Programmes, and is overseen by the Project Monitoring and Advisory Committee (PMAC) at the Office of AS&DC (MSME).
